[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]There are many different print techniques out there to make your printed piece stand out. Although some of these processes can be expensive and/or difficult to do, they truly make a difference in your final product. We show you some techniques below:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”Digital Printing (Flat Printing)”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Digital printing is the type of printing is most commonly used for smooth or lightly textured papers. It is the most economical way of printing and a perfect solution for those wanting professional print quality at reasonable prices. Printing is done through high resolution, high quality digital printers by printing manufacturers all over the world. These prints produce remarkable results based on digitally-rendered files. The native digital file is sent directly to the digital printer, losing no image quality. Colors can cover the entire rainbow spectrum, and are as bold, vibrant and as comparable to color offset printing. The printing appears as a flat image.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”Embossing/Debossing”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Embossing and debossing are similar processes that create a different result. Both processes involve making a metal plate and a counter. The plate is mounted on a press and the paper is stamped between the plate and counter. This force of pressure pushes the stock into the plate, creating the impression. Embossing produces a raised impression on your paper stock, while debossing creates a depressed impression.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=” Foil Stamping”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Foil stamping is a specialty printing process that uses heat, pressure, metal dies and foil film. The foil comes in rolls in a wide assortment of colors, finishes, and optical effects. Metallic foil is most commonly seen today – particularly gold foil, silver foil, copper foil, and holographic metallic foils.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=” Thermography”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Thermography produces raised printing similar in appearance to engraving, but using a different process. In thermography, a special powder is added to the ink that is to be printed on the paper. The printed piece is heated, causing the powder and ink mixture to dry, which in turn results in a raised effect on the paper.
